CALEB RYAN WELLS

Calen Ryan Wells talks about his eponymous label...

"My design philosophy is deeply rooted in body positivity and the celebration of the human form.

"In building my own label, I’ve explored methods that allow garments to evolve with the wearer — offering both adaptability to the body over time and modular systems for personalized styling. It was important to bring these values into this collaboration, creating pieces that are not only visually striking but also intimately responsive to the people who wear them.”

Caleb adds, about collaborating with CHRISHABANA on RE/FORM initiative and collection:

"When developing these pieces for the collaboration between CHRISHABANA and Caleb Ryan Wells, I was inspired by the synergies between our two brands — particularly our shared use of unconventional fabrication, our commitment to showcasing the body, and our drive to empower our communities through design.

"It has been an incredible honor to develop these pieces in collaboration with the CHRISHABANA team. This partnership has been rooted in experimentation, resource-sharing, and a shared commitment to creating work that resonates deeply within our community. Collaborating with a team that prioritizes uplifting the queer community and embraces fashion as a means of exploring identity has made this experience both meaningful and creatively fulfilling."

Redefining Elegance Through Innovation

Genderless | Experimental | Couture-Driven

Rooted in the raw energy of Bushwick, New York, Caleb Ryan Wells exists at the intersection of experimental fashion, technical craftsmanship, and forward-thinking design. As a genderless special occasion brand, we craft wearable art that transcends traditional categories—merging cut-and-sew knitwear, avant-garde tailoring, and textile innovation into garments that feel as
visionary as they are timeless.

Founded by an experimental designer, pattern maker, and machinist with over a decade of hands-on industry experience, our studio blends couture-level precision with the soul of underground culture. With a formal education from Kendall College of Art and Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology, our creative direction is grounded in both fine art and technical mastery.

We strive to create a diverse and welcoming community that celebrates body positivity and encourages personal expression. Our designs are crafted to empower individuals to experiment with their style, without boundaries. We foster a safe space for our clients to explore their identities, while also educating them about garment manufacturing and the importance of sustainable choices in fashion. By promoting conscious consumption, we aim to shape a world
where sustainability is not just a trend, but a way of life.

In addition to offering made-to-measure and custom garments, we provide a comprehensive range of fashion design and technical services—including fashion and technical illustration, tech pack production, pattern making, sample making, custom garment development, and small-scale production for businesses of all sizes, both in and around New York.
